What is “Block 10”?
The Block 10 Mining Company was one of the original leases located in the center of modern day Broken Hill.
Focussed primarily on the production of lead, zinc and silver, it was taken over in 1924 by a small mining group called Broken Hill Proprietary Company (BHP).
Today Block 10 pays homage to these early mining pioneers, carrying on the spirit of ingenuity and perserverence.
